Nearly all of the deteriorated, rough, steep sections are on this, the west side of Codding Hollow. The east side is much less steep and has better surface, so, unless you yearn for tech challenge, ride this east to west. The part that doesn't show up on Google maps - the middle or ridge top - seems to be under VAST care. I passed several ATVs that were enjoying the wet, steep, ledgy terrain.
